        I picked this book up at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum after seeing some of the exhibits they had there on early humans, and it was a great choice. The authors--one an anthropologist and the other a psychologist--did a great job of pulling together disparate sources to put together a convincing, if highly incomplete, view of Neandertals/5.   The North American archaeological phenomenon known as Clovis is famous for the fact that a number of sites that contain diagnostic Clovis artifacts also contain the remains of mammoth and perhaps other extinct genera.
